My strength lies in distilling information down to its most compelling form—finding the core message and drawing it through to a clean, cohesive finish. I write to make sense of things, to sharpen meaning until it cuts through.
At the age of 13, I fell in love with a word: “flippant.” That is until I discovered the author Oscar Wilde. Flippant became as trotted out as an abrasion compared to wonders like truculent and panegyric.
My journey since has been to appreciate not just language for its own sake but the art of communication.
And there would have been a time I called that abstruse, but now, I just say hard.
